Refurbishing an Existing Site

Want to rethink how your published site looks? You can unpublish it at any time to make the changes you need. Just remember to hit Publish again when you’re ready. There are so many new features to play with like Parallax scrolling, lightboxes and more.

Duplicating Your Site

You can duplicate an existing site to test new features, layouts, or view changes you made without affecting your current live site. Wix allows you to create as many free websites as you need, so you can test new versions.

Note:

When duplicating your site, information such as your Contacts or your Wix Stores products are duplicated. However, some information might not be duplicated. We recommend checking the copy of your site to make sure important sections and elements of your site were duplicated successfully.

Restoring a Previous Version of Your Site

Need to roll back on some previous edits? You can restore previous versions of your site in your site history.

To restore previous versions of your site:

Go to Settings in your site's dashboard.
Scroll down to Advanced.
Click Site History.
Browse previous versions of your site.
Click the Expand icon on the relevant version.
Click Restore, to restore that version of your site.

Starting Over with a New Site

Your site must be upgraded before you can assign a domain to it. Upgrade or reassign an existing Premium Plan to your site before you assign your domain.

Things to keep in mind when starting over:

There’s no limit to the number of sites you can have in your account.
Your content won’t automatically be copied across to a new site.
Site-specific features such as Ascend, Apps, SEO Settings and Marketing Integrations will not transfer.
